Commissioners Approve Mississippi Road, Bridge Projects
The Mississippi Transportation Commission has approved 163 projects to repair or replace crumbling roads and bridges two of which are located here in Clarke County.
Commissioners voted Tuesday, months after lawmakers met in special session and authorized the state to issue $250 million in bonds to fund emergency repairs.
Included in the repair / replacement in Clarke County is County Road 630, (Pine Grove‐Carmicheal‐Horne‐Melvin Road) at a cost of $2,207,620.80 and Mississippi Highway 512 at a cost of $3,593,300.00.
