WEEKEND ACCIDENT SENDS ONE TO UMC –
STONEWALL – Chief Deputy Barry White tells CCHT that a one vehicle accident that occurred early Sunday morning has sent one person to the University Medical Center in Jackson.
According to White, the 911 call came in at approx. 4:15 am on Highway 513 just south of Stonewall where one person was transported to a Meridian hospital by ambulance and later airlifted by UMMC AirCare to UMC in Jackson.
Sources tell CCHT the driver was intoxicated at the time of the crash.
White says the driver sustained serious injuries but not believed to be life-threatening.
