Emergency Officials were dispatched and responded to a vehicle fire with no injuries being reported on County Road 320 just south of the Enterprise Town Limits.
Stonewall and Enterprise Fire Department were able to extinguish fire and prevent spread while Stonewall Police Officers provided mutual aid assistance for traffic control. Clarke County Sheriff’s Office responded along with Scott’s Wrecker Service to assist.
On-scene units would like to give a shout-out to Stonewall Fire Chief, Nathan Covington and other fire members for recognizing potential for icy road conditions due to water and foam used during the extinguishment. The Clarke County Road Crew was later dispatched at the request of the fire departments to bring sand for roadway to prevent accidents in the immediate area.
The public is advised to use caution on County Road 320 just south of Enterprise city limits until sand can be spread on wet roadway.
Great job to all of our local volunteer firefighters and other public servants for getting out in the extreme elements to serve the public.
Again, there were no injuries involved and CCSO is handling the vehicle fire investigation.
