OH NO!!!! THAT’S NOT GOOD!
Water Tower North of Quitman is POURING water from the top….
In reference to the water tank in North Quitman. Mayor Steve Watkins tells us this…
“I checked with Jonathan Tanner – he advised that as soon as the transducer finishes thawing out the overflow will stop – no water customer has been affected throughout this overflow period – no one has lost water pressure”..
Sounds like a simple fix. Thank goodness because could you imagine how cold it would be to get up there to make repairs?
Great work City of Quitman, Mr. Tanner and the Mayor for their quick response and action.

“As a precaution, both transducers have been replaced just to be sure no damage occurred during the cold temps. Both water tanks are online and back under normal operations”
