Feb. 13th, 2025 – Stolen Cars Recovered In Lauderdale County. (SRR)
Sheriff Anthony Chancelor of Clarke County followed two stolen Dodge Durango Hell Cats from Jones County North on I-59 with several deputies following them. Lauderdale County waited at the county line, as the two cars reached the split of I-20/I-59 the blue lights came on. The Hell Cats took off, the car chase circled from Valley Road to Hwy 11, then back to I-20. The Black Hell Cat slammed into the side of Sergeant Randy Harper of Clarke County, wrecking the patrol car. The two cars would hide in Southern Estates Trailer Park. LCSO, Clark SO, Jasper County SO, and MPD Blocked Valley Road. One of the drivers was taken into custody on foot as he attempted to run Past Sheriff Chancelor. The suspect jumped into a ditch thinking it was a body of water, Chancelor arrested the suspect. The other Hell Cat was found stuck and the driver escaped. Both cars were recovered.
