Mass Chaos During Shooting / Accidents at Homecoming Party

***BREAKING NEWS***
QUITMAN – Multiple shots fired injuring 2 people in Quitman at “The Meeting Place” located on Highway 18 West. Details are very limited at this time, but according to officials 2 people have been shot and injured, multiple vehicles shot into and three accidents have occurred while people were running for their lives.

At approx. 2:am Troopers with the Mississippi Highway Patrol were called to separate accident scenes which occurred after hundreds of people began fleeing during the gun fire.

The reported two accidents with injuries occurred on Highway 18 West in the same area as The Meeting Place where a large party was taking place.

Another accident occurred moments later when a vehicle was rear-ended while trying to flee from the shooting and then left the scene of the accident.

Witnesses tell CCHT that drugs have been recovered from one of the vehicles involved in the accident(s) and that some of the vehicles have been towed to the Clarke County Sheriff’s Department for investigation and evidence processing.

One person who wished to be left anonymous tells CCHT that The Meeting Place located on Highway 18 West was over-crowed with several hundred party-goers in attendance which featured a rapper from New Orleans.

According to others, the shooting began after someone tried to rob one of the rappers inside the building which then lead out into the parking lot causing everyone to run for their lives.

The search is continuing this morning for the shooters responsible for the overnight chaos..
