Fatal Interstate 59 Accident
***BREAKING NEWS UPDATE***
INTERSTATE 59 – The Mississippi Highway Patrol has confirmed two people have died following a serious one vehicle accident on I-59 near the 123 mile marker just inside Jasper County.
Next of kin notifications are currently being made, therefore out of respect for the families involved we have decided not to release any photos at this time.
We’re being told that a white Ford F-350 left I-59 and struck an overpass bridge pillar that bridges Jasper County Road 16 over the interstate.
Pachuta and Heidelberg Fire Departments along with Clarke and Jasper County Sheriff Deputies, Paratech EMS, ASAP Ambulance, Mississippi Highway Patrol and several other emergency units responded to the scene.
No names will be released out of respect for all parties involved, Clarke County Hot Topics asks that you please pray for the families involved in this tragic accident.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
