Five Arrested from Drug Related Traffic Stop

Clarke County Sheriff Deputies arrest 5 people after drugs found during traffic stop.

Chief Deputy Barry White tells CCHT that Deputies made a traffic stop on a vehicle on U.S. Highway 45 near Shubuta where certain indicators led Deputies to believe the driver and passengers were engaging in illegal activity.

After the vehicle was search, 2 different types of a Schedule 1 controlled substance were found.

All 5 occupants in the vehicle were arrested on drug related charges. Sources also tell us the vehicle and it’s occupants were passing through Clarke County from out-of-town.

Rolison’s Wrecker Service was called to Tow the vehicle.
