Remember the story we posted on Monday about Clarke County Native River Kidd? Well we’ve just learned this morning that River Kidd who was selected to play for Team Mississippi has helped his team WIN the final game to bring home the Championship!!
We’re told this is the first time in the 25 year history of the Junior Sunbelt Classic That Mississippi Has EVER WON IT!!!!! Go TEAM MISSISSIPPI. They Beat Missouri 14-0 To Bring Home The CHAMPIONSHIP!!

KIDD PLAYING FOR TEAM MISSISSIPPI –
CCHT would like to congratulate Clarke Counties own River Kidd who recently made Team Mississippi and was one of only twenty people chosen to play out of the State of Mississippi. Kidd is currently in McAlester, Oklahoma playing 10 other teams from as far as from Canada.
As of now there have been 6 of 10 games played and Team Mississippi has won 5 so far with 4 more to go.
We’d just like to wish River Kidd and Team Mississippi the best of luck throughout the remaining games to be played.
