Accident Scene Abandoned on County Road 130
ELWOOD – Emergency Officials responded to the scene of a one vehicle accident on County Road 130 just off Highway 512 Tuesday evening.
Upon arrival of Clarke County Deputies and preliminary investigation was noted that the vehicle was north bound on CR 130, struck the concrete guardrail and came to a final rest in the south bound wood line. It was quickly determined that no one was in or around the vehicle as it had been left abandoned.
Deputies searched the nearby area for the driver and called local area hospital to check the welfare of the driver but at press-time no one was ever found.
Quitman Fire Department and Paratech EMS also responded to and assisted the accident scene. Rolison’s Wrecker recovered the vehicle from the scene.
Sources tell CCHT that there were no signs of injury.
