CCHT would like to Thank VFW Post 4982 for hosting the Veterans Day Program today. Weather forced the program to move indoors but that didn’t stop people from showing up and supporting Our Veterans. Special Thanks to JG and Brenda Kufel and Post 4982 Auxiliary Members, Attorney Edward Kramer, Representative Troy Smith, Senator Jeff Tate, Quitman Mayor Steve Watkins, Stonewall Mayor Jerry Rich and our Circuit Clerk Sally Doggett Wedgeworth for attending the event.
If the humble sound of “TAPS” being played doesn’t move every God Fearing, Hardworking American Soul, I don’t know what else will. We saw a lot of tears falling as it was being played.
Every man, woman and child should be taught about the sacrifices these brave men and women endured while fighting for our freedom.
