Emergency Officials recently responded to the scene of a reported 18 wheeler on fire at the intersection of Highway 45 & County Road 345 in the Rolling Creek Community.
However, after further investigation, it was determined that the trailer brakes overheated causing a lot of smoke. The truck itself was not on fire. The driver managed to pull over and let the brakes cool down before proceeding to his destination.
There were no injuries involved. Clarke County Sheriff Deputies, State Troopers with the Mississippi Highway Patrol and Officials with Clarke County EMA responded to the scene.
