Clarke County Tribune Staff Wins 11 Awards

(Courtesy: Clarke County Tribune) The Clarke County Tribune walked away with 11 editorial awards Saturday, June 25, 2022, during the joint 2022 Mississippi, Arkansas and Tennessee Press Conference and Better Newspaper Contest in Memphis, TN.

The contest was judged by volunteers from the South Carolina Association. 

Awards won were as follows:

First Place – Brittney Mangum for her Magazine Feature on the Chickasawhay River

“The piece shows clear eye for detail and paints a good picture of a place. Unique perspective from sources. Well done!” – judges

First Place – Jennifer Bozeman for Feature Photo on Ashley Garrett in the 2021 Profile Edition

“Great environmental portrait that captures Ashley’s personality and her passion for delivering the mail. Well done!” – judges
