CCHT sends our thoughts and prayers to the victim and first responders involved in the fatal two-vehicle, head-on crash this morning on Highway 513 in Jasper County.
According to officials, 911 calls began coming in around 6:30 this morning reporting the crash. Officials say the accident occurred near the intersection of Highway 513 and County Road 51313 not far from the Clarke County line (near the Rose Hill Community).
CCHT is told the victim; Elsie Dearman, 75 of County Road 3131 Rose Hill was driving a silver 2022 Nissan Rouge at the time of collision.
The other vehicle involved was a blue 2012 Dodge RAM driven by Joseph Moulds Jr. of Enterprise.
According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, The 2022 Nissan Rouge was traveling northeast towards the Clarke County, where it crossed the center-line striking the Dodge RAM that was traveling in the opposite direction.
Officials say Moulds was uninjured during the crash, but is believed
to have went by private vehicle to be checked out at a local hospital.
MHP confirms that all family members directly involved with this crash have been notified.
