Two Injured in Hwy 45 Tuesday Night Crash

CLARKDALE – Emergency Officials were called to the scene of a very serious two vehicle accident on Highway 45 Tuesday night at the Clarke / Lauderdale County Line

Officials tell CCHT that two people were transported by ambulance to Meridian Hospitals after the both sustained injuries.

Clarkdale Fire & Rescue along with Clarke County Sheriff Deputies and the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to the scene. Quitman Fire & Rescue was also dispatched but later cancelled while enroute.

We’re being told that both drivers involved in the crash who were transported for their injuries is expected to recover.

(NOTE – The families of those involved have already been notified and are at the hospital with friends).

No names will be released out of respect for all parties involved. The Mississippi Highway patrol is investigating the mishaps.
