Local Mexican Restaurant Owner Becomes United States Citizen

CONGRATULATIONS!!! ????
CCHT would like to Congratulate Miguel Oregon of Quitman for becoming a United States Citizen!! ??????

Miguel is married to Amanda (Morgan) Oregon and is the successful business owner of Los Totopos LLC. (Mexican Restaurant) in Quitman.

In order to become a U.S. Citizen you have to be married for at least three years, file numerous paperwork documents and then wait to be called for an interview. “The whole process takes about a year and a half to complete” Miguel says.

“Waiting for the interview was the longest part of the process which took around 9 months to be called”.

Miguel received a phone call advising that his interview date would be held on April 1st, 2019. After a successful interview completion and clean background check, fingerprints etc… Miguel was finally set to receive his Naturalization Certificate.

The Ceremony was held on April 19th, 2019 in New Orleans where Miguel Oregon was awarded Citizenship to the United States of America.

It’s a big step, and an honor to be able to become a U.S. Citizen so I can spend the rest of my life here with my family, it’s an honor to be able to vote and help the community out whenever I can”.

The immigration test consist of one-hundred questions which has two parts: a language section where applicants have to read, speak, and write in English, and a civics portion with 100 possible questions. Applicants are asked 10 of them and must get six right.

CCHT would again like to Congratulate Miguel for passing his immigration test and for becoming a U.S. Citizen!

Y’all be sure to stop by Los Totopos in Quitman tonight, May 2nd, 2019 for some great food and live entertainment by Ralph Miller!

We’re super proud of Miguel, let’s all be sure to help us Congratulate Miguel on his accomplishment!
