Accident Injures Two in East Quitman

EAST QUITMAN – Emergency Officials responded to the scene of a one vehicle accident on Highway 18 East near County Road 450 Friday evening.
Paratech EMS transported two people by ambulance to a local Meridian Hospital for injury evaluation.
East Quitman First Responders, Clarke County Sheriff Deputies, State Troopers with the Mississippi Highway Patrol and Scott’s Wrecker Service responded to and assisted with the accident scene.
No names will be released out of respect for all parties involved. Officials tell CCHT the driver and passenger were both from Meridian and were in the process of moving when they crashed into the concrete bridge culvert.
