Quitman Police Officers were recently dispatched to Roosevelt Street where a 911 caller reported a house being broken into.
Upon arrival, QPD Officers observed the same person as described by the 911 caller at the location. The suspect immediately ran from the scene and went back behind the Seller’s Mini Storage Buildings behind Hardee’s.
He ran back across Railroad Ave. where he was caught without incident and taken into custody. The suspect was said to be 17 years old, which is considered a juvenile, therefore we covered his face from being identified.
Officials tell CCHT the mother came to the scene and took care of the situation. A short time later, another call came in to 911 Dispatchers that they noticed a storage building was also broken into.
If you rent a storage building in this area, you may want to check on your belongings and report anything missing or damaged to Quitman Police Department.
