Quitman Stabbing Victim in Critical Condition

***BREAKING NEWS***

QUITMAN – One person has been transported to a Meridian Hospital after being stabbed on Thompson Ave. in Quitman. Quitman Police Officers and Investigators are currently working the scene at this time. Clarke County Sheriff Deputies assisted with searching for the suspect. Quitman Police have taken a female into custody and transported to the Clarke County Jail who is the alleged suspect in the stabbing.

As 911 Dispatchers were sending units to Thompson Ave to the reported stabbing, another call came in around the same time reporting a female lying in the road on North Archusa Ave. in front of A&M Chicken.

Deputies arrived on scene at A&M and to assist the lady who was found in the road. While in the early stages of the stabbing investigation, Quitman officers on Thompson Ave. reported the female was the alleged suspect.

Officials say. the victim on Thompson Ave. (who was stabbed in the stomach), was transported by Paratech EMS to a Meridian Hospital and is said to be in critical condition.

The alledged knife used in the crime was found on the sidewalk next to where the female was lying in the road.

All names are being withheld at this time pending law enforcement investigation.

***STABBING UPDATE***

Quitman Police Investigator, David Viverette tells CCHT the victim (who’s name is being withheld at this time due to HIPAA) in last nights stabbing is still listed in critical condition at this time.

Viverette says, the victim was stabbed three times in the stomach which prompted emergency surgery at a Meridian Hospital.

Viverette also went on to tell us that during the investigation, the victim was able to give the suspects name and a brief statement of occurrence.

Bianca Moore, 22 the female who was found laying in the road in front of A&M Chicken is in the process of being charged with Felony Aggravated Assault and possibly other charges pending the investigation.
