Deputies Find Drugs During Traffic Stop

Chief Deputy Barry White tells CCHT that Drug Officers with the Clarke County Sheriff’s Department made a traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 45 & 145 near Clarkco State Park when drugs were found.

Chief White says the stop was made around 4:pm Monday evening for a routine traffic violation which lead to the search of the vehicle by Deputies.

Bond was set this morning in the amount of $70,000.00 by Judge Terry Bonner for the following charges: Trafficking Controlled Substance While in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Crack with intent While in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Cocaine with Intent While in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Marijuana with Intent While in Possession of a Firearm.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
